This Dialogue is the outcome of an email debate started in March 2009;between myself( Pagan Druid,) and a Born again Christian. I am the founder of The Druids of Arnemetiae, and the Christian I have known for many years who is a member of the Baptist faith. |

Druid 9th March 2009 If I can I will give my thoughts as I go through your letter. First may I ask, do you believe every word in the bible to be a true fact/from the mouth of god, and in chronological order? |

"The Bible is the inspired word of God written by men under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The translations we have are not perfect, but contain all that God wants to communicate to man with regard to Himself, our relationship to Him, and to each other. (The light bulb is not perfect either, but it still illuminates our darkness) It is not in strict chronological order, (eg the book of Job is the oldest book in the Bible), but that is not essential to its purpose".. |
I will take that as a yes, but not in chronological order. Do you not think if one takes takes the New Testament gospels/acts of apostles as incontrovtable historical fact, it is not possible to do scholarly justice to a debate. in effect the Christian doctrine dictates the agenda. |
